The attendance is good, and the track in capital order after heavy showers overnight. Results : PURUA HACK HANDICAP. Of 175 so vs. Six furlongs. 4 Desert Lad 1 1 Lady’s Boy 2 3 Fee Simple 3 Scratched : Iveddar, Vigilance, Whisogne. Freeze Out, Ardaile, Green Aero. Won by half a neck, third horse two lengths away. Time, 1.15 4-5. HACK STEEPLECHASE. Of 175 sovs. About two miles. 2 Mixed Heather 1 3 Ruby Ring 2 5 Son o’ Mine 3 Scratched: Alaric. . Won by 12 lengths, third horse three lengths away. Time, 4.59 3-5. Radiate and Risk fell. WANGANUI STEEPLECHASE. Of 500 sovs. About three miles. 2 Brigadier Bill 1 5 Tuki 2 6 Pass in’ Through 3 All started. Won by 12 lengths, one- and a half lengths between second and third. Time, 6.9 2-5. KAITOKE HACK HURDLES. Of 175 sovs. About one mile and a half. 4 Peshwa 1 3 Polyphemus 2 2 Wenday 3 Scratched: Peneus, Ballyfarnon. Won by two lengths, half a length, between second and third. Time, 2.51 2-5.
