The dearth of fast bowlers available for the visit to Australia is being widely discussed. Sandham deplores that comities do not sufficiently search villas© greens for hefty possibles. He was astounded to see finely built youths who will not try to develop pare. “In my early days,” says H.obbs, “every county had a good, fast bowler. Nowadays they; have to jump at the worst offering. I think the modern strain of the game wears them out more quickly.”
