LONDON, May 14. “If India is tired of white rule and if the British are tired of ruling India, then India must lie prepared to be ruled either by yellow or brown races, whose religion was other than Hinduism, or by Soviet Russia.” Sir Bijay Chand Maht.ab, Maharajah of Burdwan, made this remarkable declaration in Caxton Hall to-night speaking on the Simon Commission which was investigating the future government of India, anti on Indian reforms generally. “I/et India choose,” he added. “1 may be called unpatriotic, even a traitor, by those who want an independent India', but I take the British connection to be the only solution of India’s problems.”
