RIFLE SHOOTING.

KAPONGA CLUB. HARRISON~CUP SHOOT. During the week-end members of the Kaponga Defence Rifle Club took part in the third. shoot for the Harrison Memorial Cup. The conditions were 10 shots at 300 and 000 yards. Ideal weather prevailed and some good scores were recorded, the best ten Being:

HAWERA DEFENCE CLUB. END OF THE SEASON. The records of competitions held during the season by the Hawer-a Defence Rifle Club show that members have had an interesting and successful time. The end of the season was marked on Saturday by an excellent afternoon at the range. The results of the shooting for the club'championship give that honour to Rifleman P. 0. Veale, who shot consistently and well throughout the series of shoots for the championship. President Robertson was runner-up. The latter won the H.B. Cup, which was awarded on handicap, on the shooting for the championship. Rifleman Lamb won the club trophy competed for on May 7, and Rifleman Veale and President Robertson tied for the Lysaght Cup.
