MYSTERIOUS AFGHAN ’PLANE.
CROSSES BRITISH FRONTIER, MACHINE CRASHES AND AIRMEN DETAINED. (AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION — UNITED SERVICE.) Received 2.20 P-m. to-day. CALCUTTA, May 14. A mysterious Afghan aeroplane, carrying two Russian airmen, crossed over the Indian frontier and crashed at Parachinan. A>n official inquiry is being held. It has been established that permission was not obtained to fly over British territory. The airmen’s story is that they lost their way between Kabul and Termez, but in the meantime they are detained at Kohat.
