THE SEASON ’S FIXTURES. The Taranaki Hockey Association’s 1.928 season opens on Wednesday and Thursday, May 10 and 17, the fixtures for the first round being as follows: — WEDNESDAY COMPETITION. May 16—Hawera A v. Manaia, at Manaia; Mangatoki v. Otakeho, at Mangatoki; Hawera B, a bye. May 23 —Hawera A v. Mangatoki, at Hawera; Hawera B v. Otakeho, at Otakeho; Manaia, a ibye. May 30—Manaia v. REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. It has been proposed to stage a North v. South Taranaki representative match on June 4 at King Edward Park, Hawera, during the King’s Birthday tourney. v TO-MORROW’S MATCH. The following will represent Manaia: Sutton, Symmans, Tosswill, Budd, Paine. Hill, Davis, Simmons, Ansley (2), Duncan, Winters, Manley, Gvde. Players are to be on the ground by 2 o’clock. Match to commence at -3 o’clock. Mr T. M. Miller will be referee. Hawera: Wise, Dowdle, Vowless, | Palmer, Simon, Wilton, Kemp, Ryan, Champion, McFadyen, Carter (2). Team to meet at Post Office at 1.45 p.m. LADIES’ MATCH. The fixture for to-morrow is Hinemoa v. Manaia, at Hawera. HAWERA MEN’S CLUB. A short meeting of members of the Hawera Men’s Hockey Club was held last evening, Mr F.
