Sir.—l should like to thank “Ha-wera-ite” for liis letter in your paper referring to the sale of old library books. To one who is interested 111 a scheme such as he mentions, it is re-, feshing to find that someone is alive to the need for reading matter among dwellers in- the backblocks. The Women’s Division has a very successful book club in full working order, and can do with plenty of donations of reading lhatter for people of all ages. In July, Dominion book week is to be held, rnay 1 appeal to those who have suitable literatures to dispose of, to gi v e a thought to those living far from the towns and from any from of recreation and send along books and magazines to Mr. Dalgetty’s china shop, where they will be dealt with on behalf of the many scattered members of our club?
