WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneerin'!; Company, Ltd., report: Reef.—There has been no rise since our last report, but the market is still firm for both ox and cow beef, prime ox making 35s per 1001 b and prime cow and heifer 30s per 1001 b. Fat Sheep.—Good yardings have been coming forward, with prices firm for both wether and ewe mutton. Store Sheep. —A good demand exists for fill classes, and competition is keen for ewes in lamb, store wethers and iambs. There is still -a strong demand for grown and young steers, a considerable number of this class having been pur. based for southern districts. Good store cows and yearling heifers are meeting with good competition. Dairy Cattle. —A number of sales at high prices have taken place for Jersey and Jersey cross in calf heifers, and prospects look bright for vendors holding this class. Pigs. —Heavy yardings of baconers and porkers, with keen competition, especially for baconers which are making from 7d to 7id. Good stores are* wanted, but weaners and slips are \cry cheap. DAIRY PRODUCE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report having received the following cable, dated London, May 2: : New Zealand butter, choicest salted, ' 161 s to 167s‘; market steady. New Zealand cheese, 95s to 975; market firm. PRODUCE QUOTATIONS. The Farmers’ Co-operative Organ i§aJi,n Society of New Zealand have received the following cabled advice from their London representatives: Lamb.—Optimistic tone last week ; sharp advance in price; all grades except hock values respond; next week consumption exceptional speculative; activity expanding. Mutton. —Better enquiry. A DDINGTON MARKETS, At the Addington market heavy entries were the rulei to-day in all sections, but a. good, level of prices was maintained. Store sheep, mostly backcountry wethers, and lambs, and forward wethers were up by Is fid on the preceding sale, with lambs unaltered. For ewes with mouths there was a brisk demand, and these also advanced in nrice.

Fat Lambs. —Extra prime lambs made to 37s lOd, prime' 32s to 355. medium 29s to 31s fid, light 26s to 28s fid.

Fat Sheep. —Wethers showed little change on last week, though small prime, sold at up to 7Jd> a pound, but ewes were Is better, lighter sorts making SRI and the heavier sd. Values were as follows: Extra prime heavy wethers to 40s 6cl, prime, heavy wethers 33s fid to 36s 6d, medium wethers 30s to 32s fid, light wethers 26s to 295, extra prime ewes to 37s Id, prime ewes 27s to 31s, medium ewes 23s 6d to 26s 6d, light ewes 19s 6d to 235, aged ewes 17s 6d to 19s. Fat Cattle.—Best beef made to 395, good 35s to 38s, heavy medium quality 32s 6d to 355, secondary cow 29s to 31s, with inferior down to 22s 6d. Extra heavy prime steers sold at £lB 10s to £2O 17s 6d, prime heavy steers £ls to £l6 15s, medium weight prime steers £l3 10s to £l4 15s, medium quality steers £ll to £l3, light steers £8 to £lO 15s, extra, prime heifers to £l3 17s 6d, prime heifers £lO to £l2. medium heifers £8 to £9 15s, light heifers £5 to £7 15s, extra prime cows to £l3. 2s 6d, prime cows £9 to £ll, medium cows £7 to £8 15s-. old cows £4 10s to £6 15s.

Fat Pigs.—There was a large entry, with tittle change in values. Choppers made £2 10s to £5 14s 6d, baconers £3 to £5 os (average price- a. pound s.jd to 6Jd), porkers- made 32s to 52s (average price a pound 6£d to 7^d).
