At the annual meeting of the Marylebone Cricket Club, at Lords, Lord Le Cornfield presided. iStanyforth, A. E. and R. Gilligan and Lionel Palairet were elected to membership. Lord Le Confield, the retiring president, referred to the fine work of Stanyforth and big team in South Africa. Lord Harris in seconding the motion, mentioned that a letter of appreciation had been received from the ,South African Association. Lord Le Confield nominated the Earl of Lucan for the presidency for 1928. At a special meeting later approval was given of the step taken in petitioning King George to grant the club a charter of incorporation.
