The suggestion that school teachers should be given a certain amount o* medical training to enable them to assist in checking disease was matte to the Minister of Education by Mr. A. C. Maxwell, headmaster of the Philipstown school, yesterday. The Minister (the Hon. A. M. Wright) said that the matter was well worth, considering by ' the education authorities. He considered that by teaching people how to take care o, their health a great many of the ailments and diseases from which they suffered could be avoided. Prevention was always better than cure, and possibly hospital boards could do something along the linos of propaganda work regarding care of the body' ana the value of sunshine and fresh air.
