FURTHER. PRIZE AWARDS. Tiie show of young birds, organised by the Hawera- Poultry Society was continued in the Show Buildings last night, and was inspected by a good number oi: vi is tons'. Special prizes were- won as follow: —• Mr Cl Good,son, best male bird in show ; Mr A. J. Davey, best fema’e bird in .slrfv ; Miss G. Stewart, most point® in show; Master Jack Barrett, best bantam (children’s class); Miss. J. Stoning-, • .second prize, b/Jst bantam (children’® class); Master A. D. Gray, beet bird other than bantam; Master A, Wallis, second for best other than bantam.
In the nail competition there was a tie, B. Foy and J. F. Gillandprs (219). In the draw off B. Foy was the winner. The total number of nails was; 223. One ticket was numbered 220, but haying ho name op address, wag! disqualified.
