GENERAL MANAGERSHIP SYSTEM TO BE RESTORED. MR. H. H. STERLING APPOINTED. [BY TELEGRAPH--PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, May 3. In announcing alterations in the personnel of the railway management today, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates indicated very imprtant changes in the system of management which had been in operation since 1922. The system of administration by general manager previous v in operation is to be reverted to on tlie retirement of the present members of the Railway Board at thus end of this month, and. the position of general manager is then to be. assumed by Mr H. H. Sterling, formerly a member of the board.
