(From Our Own Correspondent). PROGRESS COMMITTEE, The Elthami Progress Committee met last night. Those present ware : Mc-hsrs liridger »(ch.air), Clare, Ricketts, Waish and Garden (secertairy). The Town Clerk wrote, conveying the Borough Council’s decision to_ accept the trusteeship of the Chidxen'.s Park siito recently purchased by the committee. The. chairman reported that the Ironsolicitor. Mr J. Lindsay Weir, had the work of transfer in hand. A short Empowering Bill would Ire necessary before it he council c-onld finally accept the gift. The committee decided to donate the sum of £lO to. the council’s u.nemployment fund. the. money to be spent on tlv* Children's Park. An invitation to- visit Lake Rot ok arc on Thursday was extended to the members of the Progress Committee,
