AUTUMN" FLOWER- SHOW. SOME EXCELLENT*BLOOMS. The autumn flower show conducted by the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union was opened to-day in rather unfavourable climatic conditions. The attendance of visitors was quite up to the standard of previous years, and there were many fine .blooms on exhibition, particularly in the decorative classes. Some extraordinarily fine specimens of chrysanthemums were on. view, which, combined with many other excellent exhibits, made up a kaleidoscopic scene most pleasing to the eye. A feature of the show was the outstanding success of Mrs. Haytor (Manaia) in the open classes, this exhibitor taking no less than seven first awards. The following is a list of prizewinners and awards up to the time of going to press : CHRYSANTHEMUMS. Novice Class. Pink bloom. —Mrs. Raine 1, Mrs. Haytor 2.
