HAWKE’S BAY ACCEPTANCES. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) HASTINGS, April 26. Callanmore, 7.3, should be added to the acceptances for the Poukavva Handicap for the Hawke’s Bay meeting. HAWERA TRACK NOTES. (By ‘‘Limited.’’) There Was not enough rain to make the plough track unworkable this morning, and all fast work was performed thereon. C. Jackson was first to work, giving Benzora and Vivo strong pace work. Partaga, Bonogne, and Bisox galloped four furlongs. Bisox and Bonogne got away first, Partaga giving them a break of two lengtlis, which be made up quickly, and he and Bonogne finished together well ahead of Bisox in 50sec.

Orazone, Silver Rule, and Silvermine were given pace work, while Land Rent was worked on the lead with Paitonu.

Royal Acre galloped six furlongs, being picked up by Captain Gazely at about three furlongs. Royal Acre ran his six in 1.19 J. Mendip and Oreadeis did pace work only.

Egeria, Cool .Mint, and Royal Lover were given useful tasks, but the Jasi> named will be the. only one of the trio to race again this season, the two-year-olds having finished for the season.

Martin Conway has been giving San Fera some schooling over the big fences in preparation for the steeplechases here, and, as expected, he has acquitted himself well, giving splendid exhibitions each time.

Owing to the hardneas of the tracks R. Brough has not been able to do much with Royal Mint but potter about. With the tracks softer he will become more serious with the gelding, as his owner is desirous of seeing Royal Mint again among the starters. There' was a. mishap at the course yesterday morning, when R. Morris, apprentice to J. Thacker, sustained an injury to Iris arm by his mount running into a fence. The lad was conveyed to Dr. Sinclair by caretaker Morse, after Mr. H. R. Spratt bad rendered first aid. Dr. Sinclair intends putting the injured limb under X-ray to ascertain the full extent of the damage done. J. Fryer has another addition to his team in the hurdler Polyphemus, which was purchased by Mr. McLeod, of Waitara, at the Mar] borough meeting just held at Trentham. Mr. McLeod formerly owned Kaforte, a. well-known jumper around these parts.
