The police have recovered' the body of Laurence Aluldoon. It was fully clothed, indicating that the torrent must have caught the whole household unaware®. The police declared there, was not the slightest hope for the others, the nature of the country preventing escape from the flood. Supplies are arriving a.t Mount Morgan for flood sufferers. The lower portions.of Rockhampton and. suburbs are becoming .submerged. The rain is torrential in character, 25 inches falling in three days. Rescue parties in boats have up to Tuesday morning saved over 150 marooned people. The damage to property is enormous, mounting to over £20,000 at Mount Morgan alone.
