Newspaper reporters at Windsor, Canada, were provided with “the thrill of the day” on the occasion of the showing' of the new Ford car, when visiting reporters were taken for a ride. No worse day for a test could have been imagined. It was raining, then snowing, and a bitter Wind was blowing. Wet pavements, watertogged dirt roads, fields half covered with water, soggy sand, treacherous holes, railroad crossings, half-pin turns —all these formed some of the driving factors when the new machines were demonstrated. And the new Ford drove them like a veteran. To sit in it was a complete revelation. Speed to burn, easy handling, no jar, no squeaks, no rattles, the ear is a real delight. Can it travel fast? Well, one of the reporters watched the speedometer climb to the 65 miles-an-hour mark, and the car was not extended then. And this was done on the slippiest, most treacherous kind of pavement.
