The Matson liner, Ventura, when sailing between Suva and Pagopago, in reply to a message of inquiry, says that she experienced no unusual conditions or anything suggesting an earthquake. 1 At the end of last week the Seismograph at Riverview observatory, Sydney, recorded a submarine disturbance in the track of shipping, between Sydney and Fiji.
