As a result of the generous sympathy of jv New Plymouth lady, who at present desires to remain anonymous, the Taranaki Hospital • Board is to benefit* to the extent of £6OOO. The money is not available- at present, but- will sooner or later come into- the possession of t]ie board, and by the wish of the donor will be used as the basis of a. fund for the- erection of a children’s ward. The handsome- offer has been made by a lady who has lived for a considerable time in New Plymouth, and has on previous occasions expressed her public spirit in substantial form.-—New Plymouth “New-s.”- • McGruer, 'Bone & do.
