ACCIDENT ON TONGAHOE HILL
THREE MOTORS INVOLVED. An accident, fortunately without personal injury to tnose concerned, Happened on tne Tonganoe *iiii last Friday evening, in winch two cars and a lorry were the chief actors. A car driven by Air H. G. Dickie, M.P., was Ciosely following a Public works lorry coming up from the bridg3, and after passing a. bad bend .in the road they met a car driven by Air H. J. AlcNelly proceeding down bill. Air AlcNelly attempted to pass between the two vehicles, but there was not enough clearance, with the result that his oar struck the axle cap of the lorry, which swung him iround, finally colli (Rug with the rear of Mr Dickie’s car. Air McNelly’s car suffered damage to the extent of a twisted front wheel and« chassis, while the steering gear was also affected. Neither the lorry or Mr Dickie’s car were damaged.
