IN NORTH TARANAKI. z ~ At a meeting of the management committee of the North Taranaki Cricket Association last night, it was arranged that, permission be given to the New Plymouth High School to play Wanganui Collegiate School at Pukekura, Park on Wednesday and Thursday next-
It was reported that a .letter from thi> Taranaki Association was to be forwarded to the N.Z. Cricket Council notifying that the delay which occurred on the second morning of the Australian match was no fault of the association, but was due to some of the members of the team going to. . the Mountain Hu.se. Mention was made of the fact that Pons ford was ready at the time advertised for starting,, land was much concerned that the rest of the team was late.
Some discussion took place in .regard to North senior matches, now that- the final was reached. It was decided to continue the second round on March 24 and 31 with the exception of the match in which the winners of to-day’s final are set down toplay. This will have to be deleted because they will he engaged in other matches. General H. Bateman Champion wrote acknowledging the invitation to be present at the Australian match, and stating that h© had availed himself of the- invitation and had enjoyed the- play very much.
