The “Evening News” says: An unknown good Samaritan, usually in even ing dress, arriving in a limousine and sometimes accompanied by ladies, has recently frequently visited the Em bankment after midnight, ‘with his pockets filled with silver. 'He walks the full length of the Embankment, distributing money to “down-and-out's,” whom he sends off to more eomfortabb sleeping quarters.
