MAN’S LUCKY ESCAPE. [uv TELEGRAPH—press association.] CHRISTCHURCH, March 17. A sensation was caused at the Christchurch railway station, last evening, when a man in Attempting to board a train for Lyttelton, as it was leaving the platform, slipped and fell under the carnages. The alarm was. given and the train pulled up with a jerk. Porters rushed to the scene, but to the surprise of everyone, the man crawled from beneath the carriage uninjured. Three carriages- had passed over him before the train was brought to a standstill.
