Tlie entire fitments of a well-known London modiste’s, from the mauve curtains of the mannequins’ stage to the- hidden wiring or tne multi-hoed electric lights, are designed on a woman’s plan. The theatre, as evidenced by the fini? interior of a popular London cinema., and even such unlikely venues as the Cavalry Club, whose' dining-room was recently redecorated bv three women, are fields' which claim the woman decorator’s services.

Training for this trade is largely a matter for personal initiative backed by sound practical instruction. The ambitious girl will also, acquire a knowledge of wallpaper design and mural painting, and will learn the artistic principles of .architecture.
