Mr. Arlow, representing Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., reports as under: Butter, 174 sto 1755; quiet. Cheese, 98s to 100 s ; firm, but quiet. PAYMENTS ON BUTTER. POOL. WELLINGTON, March 16. The Dairy Produce Board, referring to the second butter pool of 1926-27, states that- tliet final payment on produce shipped amounted to £52,000, wiil be distributed to-day. Tins final distribution represents the payment of .1430 per lb, and brings the total payment on products of the pool to the following figures: Finest grade, Is 3.435 d; first grade, Is 2.935 d; second grade. Is ,1.935d —all per lb. f.o.b. This is equivalent to an average payment of is 3.33 d f.o.b. on all butter in the pool. With reference to the cheese pool of 1926-27, the board states that owing to the time occupied in the adjustment of shrinkages the final payment cannot be made until March 23.
