KING'S MEDAL MATCH DECIDED. [BY TELEGRAPH—press association. | TRENTHAM, March 16. The sixth annual Army Rifle Association meeting was concluded this morning, .when tiie King’s hundred was fired. Except for a light shower, weather conditions were excellent. The service regulations governing the shoot are similar to all parts of the British Empire. The trophy is a gold medal presented by I Lis Majesty. The practices are rapid fire at 360 yards, ten rounds, the time limit being 40 seconds ; snapshooting at 300 yards, ten rounds, three seconds’ exposure at irregular intervals during a period of two minutes; deliberate firing at 600 yards, ten rounds; fire with movement at 60 to 100 vards. The possible was 260.

The shooting throughout was very good, and an official stated that it, was collectively the highest standard obtained since the meeting was inaugurated. During the snapshooting practice. Lieutenant T. Denton (Air Force) and J. Jameson (Pukekohe) secured 45 out of the possible 50. The winner was a member of the machinegun section of the Ist Wellington Regiment.
