The autumn meeting of the Wellington Racing Club opened at, Treutham to-day in. line weather. The track was hard and 1 fast and the attendance good. R. Beale, the rider of Rotowhero in tl*> Silverstream Handicap, was suspended for 1-t days lor crossing. Nucleus waited on the leaders till well in the straight and then came on to heat Lancer by a- neck, with Bright Day two lengths away. Uralla, who made all the running, was fourth. Time, 2.11. N.Z.
