PERSONAL ITEMS.
The mayor of Hawera, Mr. E. A. Pacey, anil the Town Clerk, Mr. H. S. Elliott, left by the south express, this morfting, to attend the Municipal Conference opening at Nelson on Wednesday. Mr. G. H. Bnekeridge, of Hawera, who is proceeding on a trip to Great Britain, left by. the south, express this morning. He 'sails from Auckland tomorrow and expects to be away for about four months.
