EARTHQUAKE AT MESSINA.
LASTS' TEN SECONDS. IV C, A BEE - PRESB ASSOCIATION-COPY RIGBI MESSINA. March 7. The severest earthquake since the disaster of 1908 has occurred and lasted ten seconds. Thus far no loss of life has been reported, but a panic occurred, the populace rushing to the streets .stricken with fear. Many are camping in the open. Fortunately the buildings erected since the earthquake generally withstood the shocks, but the damage is considerable in some towns.
