I AUCKLAND MEETING CONCLUDED (by TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 31. The Auckland Trotting Club’s summer meeting concluded at Alexandra Park to-day. The weather Avas glorious and there Avas a large attendance, lhe totalisator receipts for the day were £70,126 10s, as compared Avith £sb,iyo 10s for 1926, an increase of £13,936. The totalisator receipts for the whole meeting showed an increase of £17,131, the figures being £208,194 and £191,061 for the 1927 and 1926 meetings respectively. The results are: — Tamaki Handicap, of 400 sovs; 14 miles —4 Raima, 36yds bhd, 1; 2 Dolories limit, 2; 1 Nelson Boy 48yds bhd 3. Dolores, who finished a head in front of Raima, broke on the post,, and the committee reversed the placmgs. There were three lengths between second and third. Tim, 3.35. Park Handicap, of 400 sovs.; 14 mdes —1 Padlock 24yds bhd, 1; 6 Dillon Huon limit, 2; 7 Van Rich 12yds bhd, 3. Won, by two lengths, with three lengths between second and third. Time, 3.21 2-5. President’s Handicap, of 1000 sovs.; 2 miles —3 Jack Potts, 60yds bhd, 1; 5 Jewel Pointer 60yds bhd, 2: 2 Sea Pearl 12yds bhd, 3. Machine Gun and escapade Avere the early leaders. Peterwah came up to the lead* but broke on the last lap. Jack Potts ran up and Avas in second place when the straight was entered and went on to win by half a length from Jewel Pointer, Avho headed Sea Pearl by a length. Peterwah was fourth. CANTERBURY PARK CLUB. FIRST DAY’S RESULTS. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 2. The Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s summer meeting opened to-day in fine and hot weather. The totalisator investments were £34,657, against £37,995 for the corresponding day of last year. Results Avere as follow:
