COURTS AND OFFENCES.
CASES AT DUNEDIN, (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Dec. 31. Mary Jane Clark, charged with committing an unlawful act, thereby causing the death of a young woman, and also with having used an instrument on a female, for an unlawful purpose, was remanded to Oaraaru. Edward John Mackay, for the theft of a violin, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. The chief detective said that accused was a ship’s steward, who came to the Dominion in September, 1926. and had spent all his time in New Zealand in gaol.
