tne ponce declare tnat the murderer nas oeeu positively identified as a young man now in Los -Angeles, but nose home is in Kansas City. They assert tnat tne motive was revenge, oecauso the latter had recently keen convicted oi forgery while employed m tne banii ox win-n Air. Barker is one of tne executive. He was paroled in spite of Mr. Parker’s strenuous protests. The police state that the fingerprints on the abandoned motor car and elsewhere tally with the youth’s in ‘‘rogues” gallery,” also that five persons have identified photographs, including the teacher who let- the kidnapper take the child from school. One voung man who was arrested strongly resembled the suspect, but completely proved his innocence, yet not before he was almost taken by the mob, which the police forced back with the greatest difficulty.
