TROPHY shooting. The first trophy shoot for the season, donated by Miss J. Rae, has now been completed. The match, which was a handicap, best three out of four rounds ,to count, drew good competition and resulted in three tieing for first place and live others being one point behind. The following- are -the scores secured: E. Booth 148, E. Chadwick 148, Miss T. Ingram J4B, Mrs Yinten 147, T. Hotter 147, F. Bourke 147, W. Spooner 147, F. Cliing 147, Mrs Veitch 146, Mrs F. Eae 146, Miss E. Eae 146, P. Petersen 146, A. Wilson 146, G. Harding 146, Miss J. Eae 145, A. T. King 144, Gr. Tozer 141. <

In the shoot-off for first place, Miss T. Ingram won with 49, Mr E. Chadwick securing 48 points and Mr E. Booth 47. In the buttons’ match held last week the challengers were successful in defeating the holders, although only by one point. Neither (the challengers nor the holders put on particularly good scores:— ' • Challengers: P. Ching 49, Miss T. Ingram 49, E. Booth 47, Mrs Grant 46; total 191. Holders: P. Petersen 50, Miss E. Eae 48, Miss J. Eae 4S, T. Hotter 44; total 190. The following trophies are being fired for at present: Mr J. Blake’s, the president’s, and Mr Catran’s.
