Nearly thirteen years ago a tourist, I-. King, and two guides lost their lives on Linda Glacier when attempting the as-ent of Mt Cook. About three months ago a- part of a leg of one of them was found in the ice, and now one of King’s boots has been found with the iare, still neatly tied in a bow at the front, as it was when he sot out on the fatal journey.
