In the second innings they made 306 (Lee 65, Ingle 71, White 68). Middlesex in the first innings made 290 (Stevens 66, Mann 52). White took six for 89. In the second innings they scored 37 for three wickets. Middlesex won on the first innings. Surrey in the first innings made 172 (Rhodes took five for 59 and Kilner four for 39), and in the second 203 (Ducat 59). Kilner took five for 76. Yorkshire made 333 (Sutcliffe 176, Oldroyd 52, viand 70), and in the second 44 for the loss of no wickets. Yorkshire wqn by 10 wickets. Army in the first innings made 388 (G. Evan 116, Stanvforth 57). and in the second 188 for six wickets, declared (G. Ryan 73, Stanvforth not out 61). Oxford in the first innings made 328 (Holmes 72. Nunn 98, Newman 64). Jov took five for 70 and Miles five for 115. In the second they made 112 for three wickets (Crawley not out 57). The match was drawn. Tor Essex against Leicester, Russell scored 104 and O’Connor 139 not out. For Leicester, Shipman compiled 108, and Skelding took six for 93. Leicester won.

For Lancashire against Worcester, R. Tvldesiev took five for 42 and McDonald' seven for 40. For Worcester. Root in the first innings took six for 48, and in the Second four for 32. Lancashire won.

For Hampshire against Gloucester. Head made 187. Tennyson not out 102. For Gloucester. Smith made 100, Venle not out 145. Hammond 192. Hampshire won. Hammond' has equalled the records of Grace and Tom Hayward, scoring 1000 runs before the end of May:

For Kent against Derby, Evans made 100. Freeman took six for 64. and Ashdown five for 29. For Derby, Stover took five for 32. Kent won.

For Northants against Glamorgan. Hnwtin made 112. Clark in the first in nines took five for 42, andi in the second five for 20. For Glamorgan. Rvan took six for 39. Northants won. A.P. A. and “.Sun.”
