MANGATOKI SALE.

The stale of Mr. H. W- Ho skin’s pedigree Friesians at Mangatoki commenced this morning. Prices were low, but showed an upward tendency as the sal© proceeded, and the attendance increased. By one p,m. the top price ef 28 guineas was obtained for a cow of aristocratic breeding, Pauline Segis Alcartia. Altogether 118 cows and heifers and six bulls were included in the catalogue. Up till one p.m. tliirty-one cows and heifers had been sold at. prices, ranging from 5 to 28 guineas, with an average of 14 guineas. The principle buyers were Messrs T. L.uptqn, Waverley; H. E. Johnson, Tokaora; N. B. Allen, Wanganui; W. C. Clement, Eltham. The sale was conducted by Mr. Cl. G. Trotter, on behalf of the Farmers’ Co-op. Ltd., while the demonstrations were given by Mi*. O. E. Robertson, sales manager for Wright, Stephenson, and Co.
