LINDBERGH’S FLIGHT
A NAVIGATION QUESTION
BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Alav 31.
Lindbergh, replying at a dinner in bis .honour, said that the fact that lie had reached the coia.st.of Europe was in no way due to mere luck of navigation. The fact that, lie arrived within three miles of the l course, was entirely a. coincidence, but by proper navi gation it should be possible to arrive within twenty-five miles. Had the ’plane drifted as far north <ais Sweden, or as far south as Spain, it would hardly have been possible to reach Paris.
TOO MANY INVITATIONS
NO' AIORE TO' BE ACC EPTED
LONDON, A 1 ay 31. Lindbergh is not visiting elsewhere in Europe. It is understood that this is the outcome of the American official desire for Ibis return immediately, the motive for which ;is believed to. he that Lindbergh should ia.vo.id any possible embarrassment of accepting some and declining other invitations.
