ELTHAM SCOUTS

COMMITTEE’S MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Eltliam Scout Committee was held in the Mayor’s room on Tuesday evening. Those present were: Air 1. J. Bridge) - (chairman), Messrs Cover ami Burke. Mesdames Cover and Hilmer. Apologies were received from Air and Airs T. R. Crump, Airs Al. Burke. Air R. J. Harrison (secretary), Air J. Rogers (Scoutmaster), and Cuhmaster Hart. The Cuhmaster reported that the cubs were doing exceptionally well, and were all qualified in the first and second tests. Each cub bad bis own uniform, and all were keenly interested in their work. The chairman said that lie had not been successful in securing a suitable person to take the position of Scoutmaster to fill the vacancy caused by Air Rogers removing to Alannia. —It was decided on the motion of Air Burke, seconded by Airs Cover, to request Air R. J. Harrison to accept the position. The chairman also reported that the social evening held recently was a great sir cess, and was well attended by the parents and the scouts.
