DAIRY PRODUCE.

SEASON’S VALUES.

DAILY BOARD’S ESTIMATES

A circular letter dated Alay 30 giving particulars l of estimated values, based on a conservative basis, for the period following October 31, 1926, has been forwarded to dairy factory companies by the secretary of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board (Air T. C. Brash) in "order to give some indication of values for balance-sheet purposes. The letter proceeds as follows:

OREAAIERY BUTTER

Gradings from November 1, 1926, to April 30, 1927, can be taken at Is 3d per lb, f.o.b. With regard to gradings from Alay I to October 31, 1927, it is difficult to give an estimate for this period, but we consider it safe to take the balance of this season’s gradings (i.e., after April 30) in at Is 4d tier lb, f.o.b.

CHEESE AND WHEY BUTTER

Cheese gradings for the season can be valued at approximately 7id per lb, f.0.b., on ordinary trade terms, less the usual shrinkage. The value of first grade whey butter is Is 2d per lb, f.0.b., with second grade Id per lb lower.
