Dr. Paget, of Wellington, arrived m II a vara yesterday and was a guest at the Hotel. He proceeded to Wellington to-day. Judge Brown, of the Native- Land Court, who i s visiting Hawera, is staying at the Eg mo nt Hotel. The Hon. O. J. H-awken, Minister of Agriculture, who has "been on -a. visit tcThis electorate, returned to Wellington by the express this morning. Mr. J. B. Murdoch, of Hawera. left by the south express this morning on a visit to Wellington. Adjutant M. Brown and SergeantMajor J. Dawdle, Salvation Army officers of Hawera, left for Wellington this morning to attend the- Dominion annual congress. Mr. R. Fletcher, of Messrs Newton King’s, Ltd., Hawera staff, has been transfererd to the Manaia branch. Mr. Ralph Sage has been appointed honorary secretary for this year's co-m----petition-s festival in- Hawera. Mr. J. A. „Dalgetty, who- so- efficiently filled the position last year, found that he could not continue the work. Mr. W. J. Melville, formerly of Hawera., has been elected chairman of the Wanganui East school committee.
