DOMINION TOURNAMENT. flip TELEGRAPH—PREBS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., Jan. 27. Splendid weather again prevailed for the sixth day of the Dominion croquet championship tournament. Two finals were played to-day and the remainder will take place to-morrow and Saturday. in the final for the handicap doubles Mesdames Watkins and Pitcaithly (Hastings) defeated Mesdames Harvey (Napier) and Waters (Nelson) in a hard mid interesting tussle. Mrs Horner (Patea) defeated Miss Macfarlane (Manawatu) 2(5—22 in the final of the B grade handicap singles. A. G. F. Ross and Mrs E. A. Smith (Christchurch) will meet Archdeacon Creed -Meredith (Wanganui) and Mrs Fuller (Wellington) in the final of the Dominion championship .doubles tomorrow. In the handicap singles A. G. F. Ross (Christchurch) has won his way into the final against the winner of the match between Mesdames E. A. Smith (Christchurch) and Tiifen (Hawke’s Bay). The ladies’ championship singles, which is played under the two-life system, was brought to the semi-final stage in each draw. Additional results arc:— DOMINION HANDICAP SINGLES.
