Mi - . 13uteller, a Congregational missionary at Papua for twentytivo years, when addressing the Millions Club stressed the terrible effect which motion pictures were having on the minds of the natives of' Papua. He said that they were lowering the native’s-respect for white women and added that the West was absolutely shattering the life of the natives. Diseases hitherto unknown among them were prevalent and gambling, which was unknown before the whites arrived, had now become a curse.
