The 880 yards national swimming championship of Australia resulted:— Takaishi (Japan) 1, Jones (West Australia) 2, Grier (Queensland) 3. Won by thirty yards. Time, llmin 6 2-ss.ee, a Victorian record. Takaishi took the lead at the first turn and easily maintained it throughout.
