STRUGGLE AGAINST‘TIDE. (liY TELECR APEI''PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 27. While trawling six men had a terrible experience at the mouth of the Waimakariri river early to-day, and one, Robert Eraser, of Tvilmore Street lost his life. They went out at 4.30 n.m., and when they' started to Tetxirn \ the tide was running fast and carried Fraser off. He could not swim. The others attempted to rescue him, but failed and had to struggle ashore.
