HIDE' AND SKIN SALE REPORT. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. report: We offered a fair catalogue of skins, hides and tallow at Friday’s sale to a good attendance of buyers. Well-saved, fine crossbred, dry sheepskins were in strong demand at prices showing an advance of id to fd per pound on late rates, sound pelts also being distinctly firm by Id per pound. Woolly salteds advanced by Is to Is 6d per skin, but short wools and pelts sold at par with last sale. Sound ox and cow hides were in good request at id to fd per pound better, while calfskins and yearlings were firm. Tallow was also on last sale’s level. LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following woo! market cablegram from London, dated 21st inst.: —“Sales continue firm. Continental buyers operating freely, Bradford moderately. Compared with last London sales, closing rates, greasy merino, wool suitable for the Continent, advanced 5 per cent. Crossbred greasy medium, good length and staple, advanced 5 per cent. Crossbred greasy medium, other descriptions, and crossbred greasy coarse advanced par to 5 per cent.” V FROZEN MEAT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from London, under date 21st inst.: —“New Zeaand frozen meat: Lamb, new season 9.}d per ,1b (average); mutton , I<l per ;lb lower.; market quiet.” 1
