Ladies’ Singles.—Second Round: Miss Maciarlane (Auckland) defeated Miss MacDonald 6—5, 6-0. Mixed Doubles. —N. Peac-li and Miss Macfailanc and Dr. North and Miss Wake have advanced to the second round. In the second round, Norman Peach and Mrs. Beale defeated Ai gus and Mrs. Bullock 6 —2, 6 —2. Singles (third rouind). —Dr. North (N.S.W.) defeated J. H. Sheppard 5—7, 7 —5, 7 —5.
