At the Amsterdam congress of the International Amateur Athletic federation, it was decided to admit women to- the Olympic games, of 1928. providing .specia 1 competitions in 100 or 800 metres. 400 hundred metres relaj". high jumlp and discus throwing. AT a; or. Ma rch a lit, Secretary of the British "Women’s Athletic. Association understands that this will replace, the quadrennial competition wherein. Britain at present heads the lists, of eight or nine nations.
