Herr Stresemauh’-s congratulations “to Air Bernard Shaw on his seventieth birthday and Mr Shaw’s reply eulogising German culture are givei\ -prominence in the newspapers. The Deutc-hes Tages Zeitung comments: “It is doubtful whether official congratulations have served 1 German interests, since Air Shaw is popular only among Socialist intellectuals. His love of Germany is connected/ with his love of German fees, which are -considerable. Mr Shaw is now exploiting his good relationship with Herr Stresemann and Herr St. Hamer for . the purpose of advertising his Socialist theories and . the -British Labour Party. ’ ’
