A gra.ss Qac-k was available fc-r fast work, but was not in much request. 'Civility sprinted -a i-mile- in 50-sec., while Precious and Delicious ran three furlongs in 372-osec. These were the- only horses who went at top, most of the other -horses being confined to ifsoful. pacing on the sand while others did striding work on the grass circuit just outside the jumping track. Merry Singer pulled up lame a.ftei working. Liady Comet, Comedy Prince and Mali Jong arrived from, the north this mlorning.
