EDUCATIONAL MATTERS.
KINDERGARTEN UNION’S REQUEST. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. Two requests were- made- to the Minister of Education by a deputation on. behalf of th© Free- Kindergarten Union of New Zealand. One was that jpaid members on the staffs should be admitted to the elementary school teachers’ superannuation fund, and the other was that at least one kindergarten in each of the four centres should lie used by the students at training colleges. The Hon. R. A. Wright said that the real question was one of finance. He was sorry the National Provident Fund did not offer a better proposition. He would have the 'superannuation! question looked- into, and) would ask the Director of Education to report on the question of associated schools.
